“ Absolutely great service beautiful atmosphere waiter very pleasance and attentive ”
“ This was one of my daddy's favorite places to gather the family to have breakfast. He truly enjoyed those times together in the back room. We took up the whole room sometimes, lol. We gathered 20 of us this past weekend to have breakfast the morning after my dad's Memorial. It was fitting. Jackie was her usual AMAZING self, as was the rest of the crew who took care of us. They took 20 orders and 20 separate drink orders & didn't miss a thing! Every order was exactly as ordered. So, the family of Dub Beasley would like to thank the staff at Common Grounds for years of memories and excellent service!! And thanks for not throwing us out when we'd show up 20 deep without reservations. Which we did more than once. Y'all rock!! ”
“ This is a popular spot for breakfast. Stopped by while I was in town for an event and was able to get a seat at the bar. This place is seat yourself and there is a possibility there will be a wait when you arrive. Felt that I got my money's worth for the amount of food I received. The staff was very friendly and attentive while I was there. If I am Gretna again, I will make sure I stop by for breakfast. ”
“ LOVE this place! The food was fantastic! The service was outstanding! Great place for a family, friends and work. I brought my daughter after leaving the courthouse. Great for all ages!! We got the Westbank omelette and Common breakfast. ”
“ Hands down best breakfast Ever! Eggs Benedict with crab cakes is the boom! The pancakes taste like funnel cakes and the grits....sooo sooo good! ”
“ Great breakfast and lunch spot. The portion sizes are very large for the prices. The service was quick and we were able to be seated promptly even though it was very busy on a Saturday morning. The pancakes, grits, bacon and hash browns were all delicious. ”
“ Eat here a lot. Fantastic breakfasts at good prices. Coffee flows freely. Lunch and dinner are not far behind in quality and value. Great neighborhood place. They have survived the pandemic restrictions and are still there. And they still adhere to the safety guidelines. Get the blueberry pancakes. Adding to this in December, 2023 I am updating my review from 2021. A lot has happened since then. The pandemic hit and took its toll on the restaurant and staff. Kai Yee Chin, (co-owner of Common Grounds with his wife, Gaye), - passed from this life on November 13, 2023 after a very long illness. His family's decision to continue to serve at Common Grounds, in accord with his wishes, is a celebration of Kai's life and life's work, with his wife and family. Changes have been made in scheduling to accommodate post Covid realties, but there is a new joy there now that Kai is at peace. Please come if you've not been here in awhile or have never been to Common Grounds. Note the new hours and try the new specials on Wednesday night which include BBQ smoked brisket, ribs and/or sausage with macaroni, potatoes salad or smothered cabbage sides. All other menu items and specials are still available. Be sure to look at the Christmas decorations included with this review. The joy in moving forward is contagious. Also there is outside seating in the front where dogs are welcome with their humans, if the humans are well behaved. :) ”
“ Food came out fast and was really good thank you! ”
